It turned out to be a good day for all the Pakistan cricket fans as Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Islamabad United posted a video on social media where Dale Steyn announced that he’s coming to the country for the tournament.

It was announced earlier by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that the entire fifth edition of PSL will be held in Pakistan. And to make the tournament extra special, two-time champions Islamabad United picked South African pace gun Dale Steyn in the Drafts.

“Hello everybody. Dale Steyn here. Happy new year. Just a quick message to say that I’m delighted to be joining the Islamabad United team for the PSL. It’s going to be a great one guys. Can’t wait to go over there. And I look forward to seeing everyone and dominate there with the ball and with my new team. See you guys later, cheers!” Steyn said in a video posted by @IsbUnited on Twitter.

Despite the injury setbacks over the past few years, Steyn is still in demand as the world knows his capabilities with the ball. He is currently playing for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League and was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL auction last month.

For the upcoming season of PSL, all matches will be played across four venues in Pakistan. Lahore is set to host 14 matches, Karachi will stage nine, Rawalpindi eight, and Multan three games.
